How we’ve kept Brexit impact to a minimum

We’re now a good 2 years into the finalization of Brexit. We can look back up to this day and safely say Agristo has done everything to uphold one of its core values, which is to service and unburden our clients in any way possible.

How we’ve kept Brexit impact to a minimum

But we’ve also succeeded in minimizing that other important Brexit concern: the fear of supply chain delays. Because at first, we all had our worries that mixing customs into the process would severely slow down import of our potato products into the UK, which is our biggest market.

That’s where Agristo quickly showed its flexibility as we moved to Delivered Duty Paid arrangements with our UK clients, which meant we would take care of all import & export administrative formalities. Making sure that our data was ‘double filing’ compliant, for both export flows from the European Union and import into the United Kingdom.

The big upside to this? We managed to cut the Brexit related custom delays to an absolute minimum as no shipment would come to a halt at the customs offices. In addition, Agristo is an accredited Authorized Economic Operator, issued by the customs administrations in the European Union. This entails that we’re seen as a reliable partner to customs authorities and enjoy important benefits, such as 24/7 shipment times and less custom checks. So, yes, we can deliver our potato inspired delight when you need it and will keep doing so.
