-
Prepare the straight cut fries according to the cooking instructions.
-
In a large bowl, mix the minced beef, chopped onion, chopped garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Knead the mixture gently with your hands until everything is well blended.
-
Divide the mince mixture into 4 equal portions and form them into burgers, about the same size as the hamburger buns. Do not make the burgers too compact or they may become tough.
-
Heat a grill pan or barbecue over medium-high heat. You can also use a regular skillet if necessary. If you use a grill pan, brush lightly with oil to prevent sticking.
-
Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach the desired doneness.
For medium-rare burgers grill them about 4 minutes on each side, for medium about 5 minutes.
-
While the burgers are grilling, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in the oven until they are slightly crispy.
-
When the burgers are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
-
Build your burgers by topping the toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, grilled hamburger, cheese and bacon.
