Agristo strengthens its presence on the French market and attends Snack Show Paris
We’re continuing to grow our footprint in the French market. This year, we’re taking an important step by joining the Snack Show Paris, one of the key events for snacking and quick service restaurant professionals. It’s an opportunity for us to connect directly with partners, chefs, and innovators who share our passion for great potato products.
France, one of our most important markets
Since 1986, we’ve evolved from a Belgian family business into a global producer of frozen potato specialties, serving customers in 145 countries. With 900,000 tons of finished products produced each year, our growth is driven by long term partnerships and a strong commitment to quality.
Within this global network, France has a special place. It’s our second-largest market, and one where demand for high quality (and specialty) potato products continues to grow. Being present at the Snack Show is our way of investing even more deeply in this relationship.
Bringing products designed for today’s French Food Service needs
The Snack Show offers the perfect moment to highlight solutions tailored to the expectations of French snacking and quick service chefs. Our seasoned curly fries will be one of the highlights. Extra crispy, fun to serve, and full of flavor thanks to an aromatic blend including onion, garlic, and chili. Their spiral shape ensures great plate coverage, while their hold time of up to 30 minutes makes them ideal for high demand environments, including delivery. They’re easy to integrate: as a side, as a premium option, or as the star ingredient in a creative snack recipe.
Homestyle rustic fries: authenticity made simple
We’ll also present our homestyle rustic fries: a product made for chefs looking to bring an artisanal, “fresh cut” feel to their menu without operational challenges or chaos. Their irregular cut and skin on finish provide an authentic look, while the combination of crispy edges and a soft, fluffy interior offer a generous and satisfying bite.
Committed to (shared) growth
Our ambitions in the French market go well beyond events and product launches. We are currently building a new production site in Escaudœuvres, in the Hauts de France region. It is one of our most significant industrial investments to date.
This project represents:
€350 million in investment
350 direct jobs created in the long term
Up to 500,000 tons of potatoes processed annually
Around 300,000 tons of finished products destined mainly for European markets
The site will rely on a strong network of 200 to 250 local agricultural partners located within a 150 km radius, reinforcing our commitment to regional ecosystems and sustainable sourcing.
