French fries for the French market: On vous donne la frite!

📍 Escaudoeuvres
📅 June 2027
🍟 Initial focus on specialty products with a hash brown line, followed by a mashed potatoes line

French potatoes, processed closer to your market. That’s the idea behind our new production site in Escaudœuvres.

Located in the heart of one of Europe’s leading potato-growing regions, the site brings together local sourcing, Agristo know-how and production closer to our customers. And we’re building it with the future in mind: through several development phases, Escaudœuvres will grow into one of Agristo’s largest production sites.

Vive la France. Vive la frite. Vive Escaudœuvres.

Why Escaudoeuvres?

Great potato products start with great potatoes. And Northern France has plenty of them.

Our site is located in the heart of a strong potato-growing region, where we already work with around 200 French farmers a network we aim to grow to around 300 partners.

Our ambition is to source the majority of our potatoes within a 75 km radius of the site. That means close partnerships with growers, a strong local potato supply and production closer to our customers.

Good for our potatoes. Good for our partnerships. And good for your supply chain.

The project in key facts

Giving an industrial site a new future

A smart repurposing of a 27-hectare production site (the former Tereos sugar refinery) within an already established industrial zone. For this project, we are investing no less than 280 million euros.

Growing with local farmers

We already work with around 200 French farmers and aim to grow this network to around 300 partners, sourcing the majority of our potatoes within 75 km of the site.

Creating local opportunities

The site will create around 140 jobs at launch, growing towards 350 as production expands.
